A day with Cellie deeply impacted me. Cellie is a little girl who just turned one. She was like my role model, reflecting back to me how to trust our instincts, enjoy life, and what it means to have boundaries.

As I was deeply impacted by this one-year-old girl, I wanted to share this story with you. It can serve as a reminder that life is happening now, and we have a choice to enjoy it. Or maybe this article can motivate you to tune into a deeper connection with your baby. Whatever you get out of it, I hope it's light, joy, and love.
Thank You Cellie!
First, when I came in, Cellie looked at me suspiciously while holding onto her mommy. Her parents said right away that she is a troublemaker and a drama queen. She stared deeply at me to test and see how she feels about me. I understood that this little girl won't give in so easily. She took her time to test me out, not just fall for my sweet smile and comments on how beautiful she is. She needed to see if she could rely on me, trust me, and if I would hear her when she calls me (even though she doesn’t talk yet, she is very on point with what she likes and dislikes). She was so connected with her inner instincts.
Slowly, we started to interact and play. She still wasn’t sure if she could trust me. Very carefully, she showed me her toys one after another, gave me things, and waited for me to give them back to her. Our bond was growing stronger with each moment.
Then we went outside to Central Park. That was the place where we established our friendship and trust. I let her be and she appreciate it! I let her fully emerge herself with nature.
I watched her as she played. Celie was so joyful. Everything made her smile, and everything she saw was so exciting. Falling in the grass made her laugh so loudly. Touching a leaf on the tree made her so happy and amazed. She found a rock on the ground that she was so proud to show me. She didn’t have any concept in her mind of what was what. She didn’t have any words yet. She was just enjoying herself with the surroundings she had - grass, rocks, birds, dogs, people, music, and me. She was radiating so much joy that people stopped by, watched her, and took pictures with Celie. She was so brave - she touched every dog that stopped by, she ran so far from me to explore every corner of the park. She felt so free, looked like she was in bliss! On our way back, she was my little sweet bestie. We stopped to watch some pigeons eating seeds. When she was excited and wanted to show me something, she just pointed her little finger and made a little squeaking sound. Haha When I was singing to her, she was clapping her hands and dancing.
Just so beautiful, pure, and simple!!!
When we got back her mom said: “Wow, she is so happy! What did you guys do?!“
I stood there smiled and thought to myself: “I let her BE...”
What I learned:
Always trust your gut/ intuition.
Take your time as much as you need to get to know the person.
Set your boundaries and do not let everyone in your presence just because you’re trying to be nice person- feel the person first.
ENJOY LIFE!!! Everything: right now wherever you are look around and find something that makes you smile-sun, wind, people, food, water, city, nature, flowers, whatever.
Make yourself Joyful through your day!
Get Inspired
In our essence, we are happy and joyful. We were born to enjoy life, to interact with it, and have so much fun by doing so. Only when we start thinking (old beliefs/conditionings) and by restricting ourselves- we go out of balance and joy. That’s why the inner work with the self is so crucial and necessary. To open yourself up and see what truly matters.
